Debate on story in games
A long diatribe on the debate of story in games.
Personally, games offer two types of "story": one like the story of a sports game (i.e. meta-stories of in-game experiences) and the easy game-on-rails roller-coaster story ride with a seemingly unending variety and sights (i.e. Half-life and God of War). Traditional Story games with puzzles only seek to frustrate the player; it is like a book with the pages padlocked.
Honestly, I would have paid good money just to watch the Final Fantasy 7 game as a movie. I got so tired of breeding Chocobos...
