Conversion from Maya into XXX (well, Blender) YOU WISH!
Some people are thinking about using Blender's game engine for creating demos but all of the assets (objs and animation) are done in Maya. Unfortunately, there isn't an all-in-one importer... WaveFront Objs are loadable but not the animations.

So... looking into what are the options... Many people have said that Maya has a terribly convoluted internal format and better off using the Maya API within Maya; instead of building a importer from scratch.
