I "got" the "Kids in the Hall" a lot more than the other super comedy troupes like "SCTV", and "The Carol Burnett Show". The "Kids in the Hall" had some the most surreal bits this side of "Monty Python".
But honestly, what I loved THE MOST about "Kids in the Hall" was their guitar-based theme song. I don't know why but I just thought/think it was so laid back and just plain cool.
With that theme song, it was like they were telling us, "Laugh at us. Don't laugh at us. These are the bits. And we are having fun."
Well, at least, that's what I heard.
