Ok.  25 years ago, there was a movie starring one of my favorite comedians, Chris Elliott.  His random appearances on David Letterman were always the highlight of the show.

I saw the movie by myself because I didn't know anyone who wanted to see it. Little did I know how true those words were.

For twentyish years, it was savaged by everyone and remained a reference point to a nadir of film. Twentyish years!
