Blender 2.40 released and it is stunning how feature-rich it is. The major additions this release are the Character Animation rewrite, the added Fluid Dynamics system, improved editing and rendering of Particle Based Hair, and the Modifier Stack.
And I don't even know what a Modifier Stack is!!
And it is still Open-Source and available under the GNU General Public License! (FREE!!)
