AS2/AS3 Speed Comparision Demo using 3d models of X-wings and Tie Fighters
AS2: 2-8 fps with one X-wing model
AS3: 15-18 fps with 7 Xwings, 7 Ties, Death Star, Endor and a fully rendered star field
Though, still not to the level of an OpenGL on Director3d but definitely going in the right direction in terms of Flash Player performance!
