From WSJ.com, Boom or Blurst: A New Business Model for Videogames? is an interesting article about dedicating to catering/pleasing a very vocal (and paying!) minority of users.
Seems tough to please what would be a very fickle group of 1000 to 2000 people but an intriguing spin on "the long tail."
