This has been a terrible year for celebrities so far.

David Bowie.  Alan Rickman.  Garry Shandling.  Merle Haggard.  Prince.

This link has an interesting perspective on why it could "feel" like more celebrities are dying.

NUTSHELL: There are just more baby boomer celebrities starting in the 1960s.  More than just a few movie stars and a few music stars from earlier generations.  There are stars of the full spectrum of luminosity (i.e. bad which became better with nostalgia) and the explosion of mediums (i.e. cable TV, VHS video tape, etc.).

Just think of when the fabricated reality stars start to get older

...True, many of "The Housewives of  " are pretty old.  Not that I watch them.
